Baked Apples With Cinnamon And Walnuts
Ingredients Â
- 4 large apples
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup water
InstructionsÂ
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and core the apples, leaving about 1/2 inch at the bottom intact.
- Mix together the chopped walnuts, ground cinnamon, honey, and unsalted butter in a small bowl.
- Stuff each apple with the walnut mixture and place them in a baking dish.
- Pour the water into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Bake the apples for 25-30 minutes or until they are soft and the filling is lightly browned.
- Let the apples cool for a few minutes before serving.
NOTE
- If you’re watching your sugar intake, feel free to reduce the amount of honey in this recipe or leave it out altogether.
- This recipe is easily customizable. Try using different types of nuts or adding raisins or dried cranberries for some extra sweetness.
